1. Consulting
Prepare specifications, traffic analysis, cost estimates and planning assistance for vertical transportation systems in proposed buildings and for existing installations. JL&A specifications utilize non-proprietary equipment requirements that provide Owners with competitive bid opportunities, measurable requirements for performance and quality plus options for monitoring systems that provide Owners with improved elevator management capabilities.

In-depth condition surveys of existing equipment determine feasible and economic approach to improvement of an elevator plant. Evaluation of present maintenance programs is available.
Project management services - Conduct pre-bid & pre-award meetings; check shop drawings, cab & fixture approval drawings and payment request; conduct periodic site visits, progress meetings and provide minutes covering specification issues and project schedule; perform owner acceptance inspection at end of project.
Provide forensic consulting services, code consultations, inspector training and expert witness reports. Evaluate control, operation and dispatching systems offered by various manufacturers to determine proper application to owner needs. Perform traffic and ride quality studies using computer-based elevatoring programs, traffic analyzers or triaxial accelerometers.
2. Certified Inspections
Provide inspection of equipment covered by ASME's safety codes and standards for elevators and escalators A17.1, A17.2, A17.3, ICC A117.1 and the International Building Code or code(s) applicable at other locations.
